Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

March 4-7, 2024

Did a 4 day hike in the Inca Trail. This is the group I hiked and camped with. Booked through a tour company, Alpaca Expeditions. This group was a lot of fun, all from America.

Ubelievable views. March is the best time of year to visit the Andean Mountains - very green after the rain season. Weather was very mild, not too hot or cold.

The company had porters who set up camp, and cooked ridiculously good meals, buffet style, 3 meals a day. Was definitely luxurious.

The hike was difficult but we took a slow pace.

The trail had many archeological sites from the Inca civilization. Our guide, Ronny, was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his knowledge with us.

Machu Picchu, a wonder of the world. Absolutely insane site. It was pretty amazing what these ancient civilizations were able to build.
