Day 16 On Foot

Friday Sept 18

Normal Pilgrim day, 6am rise from hostel and walk until 2pm. Stopping at cafes and a supermarket, picnic lunch and dinner made at albergue.

The hostels were staying at are pretty bare bone. Cheap, this ones donation based, but just beds no sheets or anything. Jacob and Nicole came prepped with sleep bag liners, but the rest of us just use our towels. Pilgrim life.

Today was a lot of city and walking along busy roads which was not ideal. Way more fun to have a trail to yourself. Excited for tomorrow as we’ll veer towards to coast.

Our fellow pilgrim, Carl, texted us today from his home in the UK. “Enjoy while you can, the world becomes complicated as soon as you leave the trail” - Carl. So definitely trying to soak in this last week.
