Saturday, Sept 5

Another early start and got through our 15 mile trek by 1pm. It’s tempting to make stops at the many cafes and restaurants along the way, but right now we prefer finish the journey before the heat is the day, then relax.

The hike today had us in great spirits, as it was unbelievable beautiful. It’s exactly what we hoped for - walking through grape vineyards and olive fields.

Some local farmers gave us grapes to eat, they were good! Most people we pass wish us “buen camino” translates to “have a good walk”. It’s nice how friendly everyone is to the hikers, tourists don’t always receive warm welcome from locals.

The town we are in is tucked in a beautiful valley. We sat by and swam in a beautiful river all afternoon. Something we’ve been looking forward to.

All meals were from the supermarket. Picnic type lunch and microwave dinners. We’ve been in bed by 9 everyday.
