Foncebadon to Ponferrada

Tough day, we pretty much did a mountain pass. Loads of elevation change, mostly down, as we climbed a lot yesterday.

We had to take the road for most of today, as the trail has been very rocky through the mountains. Jacob’s chair can do most of it, but it can be slow going and difficult. Luckily a road follows the Camino closely, so we still get the same experience.

Highest point of Camino in the morning. Beautiful views most of today. Picnic from store for lunch and dinner.

Ponderrada, where we ended, is a pretty big city. It’s got a cool castle, but we’re missing the small town vibes, and the community atmosphere of the small towns.

Everyone’s real sore in the legs, Nicole and Collin still dealing with bad blisters. We’ll continue on tomorrow, hoping to maybe spend a rest day in an upcoming small town.
