Prague

This was definitely the best day of the trip so far. Prague is the coolest city I've ever seen.

Met up with Hunters grandparents today, Deanne and Larry, who happened to be in Prague at the same time. They knew a guy named Peter who gave us a free walking tour all day today.

Peter has lived in Prague his whole life. This man was one of the nicest people we have ever met. He knew so much history about Prague, sharing his knowledge is definitely a passion of his.

He brought us to some "local" spots, showing us things most tourists never see. It was also super interesting to learn about his perspective on the world. He is a tanker and has served in the Ukraine war. His stories about that were pretty awakening to me.

First stop was the Prague Castle

This was thee most glorious building I have ever seen.

So large and magnificent. Literally had goosebumps the whole time. Idk how you could not believe in a higher power after seeing something like this.

Got lunch at the oldest tavern in all of Europe! Like what?!?!

Got the traditional beer they have been selling for 800 years!

The inside is exactly how it's been since the 1200s(ish). We ate a traditional meal in candlelight. I had duck, cabbage, and dumplings. Hunter had pork knee, and Sage had smoked ribs.

Mozart was also known to have hung in this tavern.

Toured the Vrtba Gardens. This was definitely a hidden gem.

Next stop was the Church of Lady Victorious and the Infant Jesus of Prague. Also pretty breathtaking.

People travel from around the world to see this infant baby Jesus statue. Saw some women crying which was chilling. This is all real gold in this church as well.

We did much more today but one last stop was the Speculie Alchemiae. These were ancient catacombs were alchemists would brew potions, research, etc. They had tunnels that led all over the city. This was pretty wild to see.

U Fleku, the oldest brewery in Prague. Hunters grandparents definitely treated us today, which was very nice of them. By far the best beer I have ever had im my life. Another amazing spot!

Prague grew to be so wealthy with culture and religion because of its central location in Europe. People have met here for centuries to trade, do business, worship, etc. That is why there has been so investment in this city. The Czech Kingdom has always been extremely wealthy.
