Backpacking is a new experience for me so it required some research to prepare for. In this post I will share what I ended up deciding to bring in my pack.

I decided to purchase the Cotopaxi Alpha 42L Travel pack. https://www.cotopaxi.com/products/allpa-42l-travel-pack?variant=40578700705853
I am very happy with this pack so far. I like the size and style, and it is extremely comfortable. I wanted to pack lightly, keeping it under 20lbs. With everything in the pack, it is 18 pounds right now. This will hopefully prevent uncomfortableness after wearing it everywhere.

The interior has nice compartments to store stuff in.

When packing clothes I needed to keep in mind the activities I'll be doing as well as the fall weather I'll be in.

What I packed...
2 pairs of pants
2 pairs of athletic shorts
3 t-shirts
2 long sleeve shirts
Rain jacket
4 pairs of wool socks
4 pairs of underwear
Warm leggings
Microfiber towel
Sandals - for hostel showers
White shoes
Black running shoes
I may be overpacking, particularly with the shoes, but because of the activities we are hoping to do I wanted to bring 2 pairs. I wanted the white shoes to look nice, when hitting the town, and my trail running shoes, to hike, workout, etc.
Other items include:
Battery pack
Sunglasses
Kindle
Snacks
Cash belt - for passport and money
Bag locks
Collapsible water bottles
Toothbrush, razor, deodorant
This is all of what I'm walking out my apartment with tomorrow. If I need other items I will surely be able to purchase them overseas.

Have a wonderful trip Ben! I can't wait to follow your adventures.
Praying for your safety and lots of great memories!
